Guest Memberships

With the new season upon us and lots of parties and activities approaching, what a good way to get your friends and family members involved by purchasing  a one year Guest Membership to Scottsdale House for them.

The Guest Membership is redeemable in the dining room and lounge. The membership would also allow them to participate in all social programs, including monthly dinners and theme parties.

The annual fee for the Guest Membership is $325, which includes $250 redeemable in the dining room and lounge and $75 administrative fee. Memberships are good for a one year period. Please call the office for more information at 947-2292.

Basic Flu Precautions

With all of the concern in the news about the flu, we’d like to advise our residents to take a few basic precautions to guard against the swine influenza type A (H1N1). It's uncertain, at the moment, as to whether this strain is any worse than the regular flu, so please don't be overly alarmed, but do be cautious.  (Click Here)

Sidewalk Safety Program Begins

Because we care about the welfare of our members, and our guests, the Sidewalk Safety program begins the first stage of it's long-term journey today, in Areas 1 & 2. This is all done with the intent of making our walkways safer to walk on, whether wet or dry.
To help deter accidents on glazed sidewalks, specific spots are in the process of being cleaned and coarsened. This is done by bead blasting.

New Mailboxes

As we’ve all known for sometime, our 40 year old mailboxes are no longer practical in keeping up with our 21st century mail. With cutbacks and staff reductions in the US Post Office, we have been in discussion with the Post Office regarding their offer for free mailbox stations, and installation. After careful study, and an open board meeting with the participation of a good number of our residents here, the Board of Directors has decided to accept this offer.

New General Manager

It is with great pleasure that the Board of Directors would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Vikki Morley as our new Manager. She will begin her duties on June 15th.
Ms. Morley has experience in both association management and the food industry, and will be a great asset to Scottsdale House. Please join us in giving her a warm Scottsdale House welcome.

PROJECTS!! RECYCLING: Very soon one of the receptacles in your garbage area will be labeled "Recyclables". Enclosed with this letter is a list of items we will be recycling. Please continue to put your newspapers in the box on the ground. When Martin empties the garbage areas, he will put the recyclables in the large, pink recycle dumpsters in the northeast comer of the property.

CRIME ALERT:  Please keep your doors and windows locked, even when you are home. Criminals nowadays are very brazen, and we cannot be careful enough! It is a proven fact that lighting deters crime. Please keep your front and back outside lights on whether you are in residence, or away. We continue to install photocells, which automatically turn your lights on at dusk, for only the cost of the materials.

CONTRACTORS: From May 15th until October 1st, contractor hours begin at 7:00 a.m. because of the heat. Please inform your contractors of the hours, and if you have any questions, you can call the office or refer to your Rules Book. Also, please alert your neighbors if you plan to do any kind of construction work that will cause noise in adjoining units.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Any structural work, including electrical and plumbing within walls, needs Board approval, and the contractor's name and license must be on record in the office.

DOGS: Dogs MUST be kept on a leash and picked up after! If you see someone not adhering to the rules, please call the office. The offender will be notified (no names mentioned), and fined if necessary.

CATS: Cats are permitted only if confined to the owners unit and are not allowed on common areas.
