EMERGENCIES To obtain the quickest help in an emergency dial "911" on your phone. Then call the guardhouse and tell the officer that you have called "911" and your unit number so that the officer can be ready to direct emergency vehicles when they arrive.
GRIEVANCES A member with a serious grievance or complaint regarding service or other matters concerning residence within Scottsdale House should report the matter, in writing, to the Manager who will present the grievance to the Board for appropriate action.
INSURANCE The Association carries insurance which covers the structure of each un well as common buildings. Members should provide themselves with adequate homeowners insurance coverage including coverage for the Association deductible which is the responsibility of the homeowner. Additional information is available through the Manager.
ALTERATIONS TO UNITS ALL alterations to a unit must first be discussed with the Manager who may be able to offer helpful suggestions regarding structural requirements, design, tractors, etc. Alterations need the approval of the Board of Directors. (See Sec 8.4 of the Sublease.)
LEASING OF RESIDENCES A residence may be leased for a minimum of one month and a maximum of one year. A written lease must be furnished, along with the names of the occupant(s), to the Association Manager at least one week prior to commencement of the rental term. A copy of this Book of Rules must be available in the unit for tenants guests. Tenants are subject to the same rules as residents except that tenants are NOT allowed to have pets while leasing at Scottsdale House. Residents are ultimately responsible for all monetary charges and rule violation fines of their lesee.
SERVICES
FITNESS ROOM The fitness room is open daily, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., to all residents and visiting family members staying with them who are at least 18 years of age. Scottsdale House will not be responsible for any injuries sustained while using the equipment and a waiver to that effect must be on file in the office before using the equipment. The room must be left in good order with lights, TV and air conditioner tumed off after use.
BEAUTY SALON (480) 947-2296 Tuesday through Saturday, the beauty salon provides hair styling, manicure, pedicure and facial services. Appointments are appreciated. Payment must be made in cash or by check. Days and hours of operation may be reduced during the summer.
MAID SERVICE (480) 947-2292 Maid service is available in four hour shifts only. Maids must be booked in advance with the Director of Services as availability is limited during season.
PATIO SERVICE (480) 947-2292 Complete or as needed patio service is available on a partial or year round basis. Call the Director of Services to make arrangements.
SOCIAL DIRECTOR (480) 947-2292 The Scottsdale House Social Director plans a wide range ofactivitie your enjoyment. A newsletter and events calendar is published each month.
VAN SERVICE (480) 947-2292 A Scottsdale House van provides transportation to nearby shopping business centers. This service is available twice a day, five days a week, Monday through Friday. Mid-May through September the van will operate once a day Monday through Friday. The Director of Services takes reservations for this service and will provide details regarding boundaries.
GATEHOUSE (480) 947-2201 or (480) 990-3065 Scottsdale House is a gated community. The gatehouse is staffed 24 hours per day. At night there is a regular patrol of the complex. The guards are authorized to accept packages or keys except in unusual cases through the office. Any damages to the gates or housing caused by a resident or their guest's negligence will be charged back to the resident.
LAUNDERETTE A coin operated launderette is available seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please do not block the sidewalk in front of the laundry, which is located on the south side of the building just west of the Beauty Salon.
MAIL Outgoing mail may be posted in the mailbox by the Gatehouse or placed in the outgoing mail basket in the office. Be sure to include unit number return address to ensure accurate delivery.
